Nothing Exciting Ever Happens Around Here

Posted on 2009-06-28 by Sara

Well, guys, the time has come, and the comic is here. I've been working on this thing for nearly 18 years. Of course, this comic is completely indistinguishable from the original, considering back in 7th grade the comics were merely venues for me to make myself meet famous people and fight bad guys.

There are also a lot of people I have to thank for this comic. It wouldn't have happened the way it did if all there people weren't involved. First of all, I want to thank Larry Miscavage, Patrick Fisk, and Jason (Fatt) McLain for wasting an entire Saturday night to help me refine my backstory. Second of all, I'd like to thank my parents for encouraging me to draw when they noticed that one of my scribbles at age 2 happened to look like a whale. Third of all, Amanda St. Pierre for introducing me to most of the music that inspired these comics, and for living through these adventures with me, through the pages of my old comics. Fourth of all, Mark Marsico for inviting me over to his grandma's magical idea spawning garage! Came up with the entire backstory from the comic the first time I was there! Fifth of all, all of my friends who have supported me through the Kappacino and Sword That Cuts Things Days. You are all awesome and have given me the drive to do this!

Last but not least, I want to thank Tony Cosentini. If it weren't for his awesome web programmingness (mm, yes), this site would have never happened. I even have a cute favicon thanks to him! ^_^

If this were an Emmy speech, I'd be booed off of the stage by now or they would have gotten the hook! Anyway, gonna try to do this monthly, but I do have a full time job. I'll do them when I can, but I'll try my hardest to keep it up guys!
