comic forty one - angel's way, part sixteen

Posted on 2011-12-27 by Sara

I didn't quite make this one on time, but I did make it. This is the last comic of the Angel's Way comic story arc. This particular story has taken the last two years of my life. I've decided that since I made it through this alive and so did my characters, I deserve a break and so do they. And that is why I'll be taking some time off to write and get things organized.

I've decided to give myself a lot more free time so I don't burn out. What this means is that there will no longer be monthly comics. I will most likely be releasing whole story arcs on the site, all at once. The comic I'm starting on right now is the Karl story arc. I don't even have this one completely written, and I probably won't even begin drawing this until it is written. This is not me saying that I'm quitting, by the way, far from it. This is me admitting that I need a rest, and taking it. Something I'm really not good at doing.

I know there are some people who are fans of this comic, and I appreciate that profusely. I hope you will understand that I am only one person and I need a break quite terribly. This is pretty much all I've been doing for the past 4 years, and that needs to change in order to maintain my sanity, and to keep the stories fresh. :)

That said, I'm excited about the "karl" story arc. You might recognize him ... he's in the background image of this site. (he's the guy flapping his arms really quickly and crying out). I've been dying to get him into the story, but he came later back in the old versions of the comic, so I wanted to make him have a late entrance in this version of the comic as well. Karl is probably the final of the "main characters" to be introduced. The story is rough, though, and angel's way needed so much work that I couldn't really focus on the "Karl" story arc until now.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a good holiday. I'm signing off now. Updates will be posted on my facebook page, and also on twitter when I am able. Thanks for reading and supporting wish fulfillment.

Oh, and any comments are always appreciated. It makes me feel like people are actually reading this thing, and that makes me happy. :)
